The symptoms that are highly suggestive of interstitial lung disease are sleepiness, although you may still have interstitial lung disease without those symptoms.

The most commonly prescribed drugs for patients with interstitial lung disease include erythromycin, budesonide, palivizumab (synagis), brompheniramine / dextromethorphan / guaifenesin / pseudoephedrine, chlorpheniramine / dextromethorphan / pseudoephedrine, carbinoxamine / pseudoephedrine, fexofenadine / pseudoephedrine, codeine / promethazine, chamomile, liraglutide (victoza), ciclesonide (omnaris), acetaminophen / dextromethorphan / doxylamine and estrogens, esterified (usp) / methyltestosterone .
Groups of people at highest risk for interstitial lung disease include race/ethnicity = other, age 5-14 years, age 1-4 years and age < 1 years.
